| ▪▪The Practical Nurse provides daily care, administers treatments, performs medical procedures and administers medications to patients in various settings. |
| ▪▪Students should be thorough, accurate, dependable, conscientious, honest, and emotionally stable. They should demonstrate a willingness to work closely with patients and professionals from many different backgrounds. |
| ▪▪Practical Nursing graduates apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN). |
| ▪▪An agreement is in place with Hillsborough Community College to award transfer credit for practical nursing graduates who enroll is HCC's RN program. |
