▪▪Students enrolled in the Public Works Academy will receive comprehensive training in theory and practice of the operation of public works facilities.

▪▪The students in the Cadet program will also gain practical field experience through placement in a public works agency as a cooperative education or extern student.

▪▪The Cadet program provides a new student or public works employee an overall indoctrination in the entire public works field.

▪▪The program offers technical skills training in water treatment, water distribution, storm water management, equipment specialties and maintenance, parks, buildings and grounds, solid waste, streets, technical design and surveying, traffic control signs and signals, waste water treatment, waste water collection, animal services, CPR, commercial drivers licenses, customer relations and employability skills.
